Extract Data

iSkysoft PDF Editor 6 Professional for Mac allows you to extract data from fillable and scanned PDF to a CSV file, so that you can make use of the data or manage the data easily. If the PDF is not a scanned PDF or fillable PDF, you can refer to the Create Interactive and Non-interactive PDF Form to create fillable forms first, and then extract the data. Please note that this feature only available in iSkysoft PDF Editor 6 Professional version.

1Extract Data from PDF Form Fields

To extract data from fillable PDF files, go to the "Form" tab, and click the "Data Extraction" button under the "Tasks" tab on the right side toolbar, and then you can process the data extraction.

Note: If your PDF files do not contain any fillable form fields, you can refer to the guide of "Create PDF Form" to create interactive form.
In the new opened window, you can add multiple PDF files with fillable form fields. And then check the option of "Extract data from PDF form fields" on the right panel.

Now click the "Start" button and choose a local folder to save the file, and then click "Save" to extract the data in .csv format.

2Extract Data from Scanned PDF

If you want to extract data from scanned PDF files, just import the scanned PDF file and go to the "Form" menu, and click on the "Data Extraction" button under the "Task" tab on the right panel and check the "Extract data from scanned PDF" option, and then click the "Next" button.

And draw the areas that you want to extract data. You can hold your mouse to select several areas. After selecting all the areas, you can click the "Save" button in the "Saved Settings" menu to save the settings for further use.

And then click on the "Start" button, and set a folder to save the output .csv file and click the "Save" button to extract the data.

3Batch Extract Data from Multiple PDFs

You can extract data from multiple forms and scanned PDF with the batch process feature. After you launch the program, click on the "Batch Process" in the Homepage.

And click on the "Data Extraction" tab to import PDF files in the new opened window. And then check the extraction mode and click "Start" to extract data in batch.

3Copy Form Data from PDF to Excel

Are you trying to copy form data from one PDF to another or to Excel? iSkysoft PDF Editor 6 Professional will help you to achieve this. At first, import a PDF form to the program. Click on the "Select" button, move cursor to select the form data that you needed and right click on it, choose the "Copy" option and then you can paste the selected form data to Excel or to another PDF file. You can also use the shortcut key "Command+C" and "Command+V" to cut and paste data from PDF to Excel.
