How to Quickly Extract Data from PDF to Excel

Step 1 Open PDF Form

To begin with, run PDFelement on your computer to access the primary window. Ignore the other options and hit the “Open files” tab. From the file explorer window, choose the PDF file you want to extract data from and click “Open” to import the PDF file to the PDFelement interface.

Step 2 Recognize Form

When the uploaded PDF loads on PDFelement, go to the “Forms” tab, then click the “More” drop-down arrow. From the list of items displayed, choose “Recognize Form”.

Step 3 Extract Data from PDF Form

Now that the PDF data is recognizable, proceed to the “More” drop-down list and select “Extract Data”.

Now, the program will pop up in the “Extract Mode” window. Here, you are supposed to choose desired data extraction mode. You can choose to extract data from the fields on PDF or extract data based on selection. Just select the “Extract data from fields on PDF” and hit “Apply” to proceed.

Step 4 Save Data

Now, the “Save As” output window will automatically pop up. Choose the desired destination folder and click “Save” to save your extracted data as a separate file.

Step 1 Select Batch Process

With PDFelement now installed on your computer, launch it and select the “Batch PDF” mode.

Step 2 Add Files

Now, the program will take you to the “Batch Process” window. Click the “Add file” button at the top-right corner to access the file explorer window. Choose the PDF files you want to extract, then hit “Open” to upload them.

Step 3 Extract Data from PDF Form to Excel

When you have uploaded the target multiple files, click the “Extract Data” option on the bottom left of the “Batch Process” window. You should see two options to extract data from your PDFs. Ignore the other one and choose the “Extract data from PDF form fields” option.

Step 4 Save Data

Click the “Apply” button, and the program will display the output window. Choose the “Excel file you want to extract data to. The extracted data will now be saved into that Excel file.
