Step 1. Launch Adobe Acrobat on your PC. On the main window, go to “Tools,” then select the “Redact” option.

Start by launching PDFelement on your device. Once the main interface is displayed, hit the “Open files” button. You will be taken to the file directory window. Browse for the PDF file you want to blackout, then hit “Open” to upload it to PDFelement.
Now head to the “Protect” section on the toolbar then click the “Mark for Redaction” option displayed below it. Upon clicking, a pop-up window showing you two steps to redact PDF will appear. Click “OK” to close the window and start the redaction process.
Drag the cursor to draw a rectangular box over the content that you want to blackout. Once you have drawn, proceed to click the “Apply Redaction” tab at the top of this page. Again, a small pop-up window shall appear. Just click “Continue” to confirm and initiate the redaction process.
When the PDF redaction process is complete, it is time to save the changes you have made to your PDF file. Simply hit the “Save” icon at the top of the window. The program will save the redacted PDF.
